The Candy Wrapper Museum

Once upon a time, America was fascinated with Wendy's "Where's the Beef?" lady, portrayed by Clara Peller. This resulted in a burger-shaped piece of bubble gum in a foil wrapper, just like a mini-version of the real beefy thing. When you opened the wrapper, you found the little card reading, "Here's the Beef."

For those of you who missed this craze, I've included a photo taken by Brad McCown at the L.A. County Fair. At this booth, you could buy a "Where's the Beef?" collectible plate. It was tempting, but somehow we passed up this opportunity.
